i don't know if the same rule applies to your family. but in mine, my parents imposed the "no coffee and hard drink unless you finished school or at least minimal drinking only" policy. you may ask Why? it's for the reason that once you drink coffee or any product with caffeine on it and your body develops tolerance hence you get addicted, you would experience tremors and increase in vital signs. and they pointed out that such would greatly affect school performance. therefor the Policy. but in my case, i am not really the 100 % obedient child. so you could just imagine me sneaking out from my parents' sight and took a little sip of this and that. coffee beverages and hard drinks, i mean.
and since recently i finished my college degree and made it to the boards Thank God, i finally got the Pass for unlimited coffee drinking. HAHA. that's all it takes.
you have no idea how much this reward means to me. i know it's kind of pathetic. but Really :)
